If you’re like me and you’re just getting to know Sleek Makeup, then you’ve probably been wondering where it has been all of your life. Well, maybe I’m the only one who is wondering that, but seriously Y’all…this is a really amazing brand and it’s affordable too!

Sleek is a British brand, and though it has been around for a while, it’s one of the fastest growing brands in the Beauty Industry to date. The brand’s mission is to provide luxury products which work with all skintypes and ethnicities while also keeping the products at a lower price point.

I want to take a moment to express my personal happiness to see cosmetics companies finally making their brands more inclusive, meaning, not just for people with certain skin types and features. I have worked as a Counter Manager for two major companies in my lifetime; for an American “Big Three” Company and for a very well known European brand. Both lines are more known for their skincare rather than their “color lines,” or makeup lines. It’s been almost ten years since I worked for the European brand, and at that time, we had no colors beyond a level three. Last year, when I was working for the American brand, we had just expanded our line up to a level five and six skin type.

That brings me to my first way you can easily find the right Sleek products: go according to your skin undertone. Not sure what type of skin tone you have? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered.

One easy way to find out what tone you are is to take a look at the veins on the inside of your wrist. If they’re more blue in tone, then you’re likely to have cool undertones. If they look more greenish, then you’re probably a warm tone. This doesn’t mean your veins are actually green, they’re actually still blue. You’re just seeing them through more yellow-toned skin. If they have blue and green hints, or if it’s hard to tell, you might be a neutral like me. I have both cool and warm undertones, depending on the season.

How does that help you find which Sleek Makeup products to purchase? Well, even though there are no rules in makeup and you can wear whatever you want and whatever makes you feel good, traditionally cool-toned skin types wear blues, greens, pinks, purples, magentas and true-blue based reds better while those with warm tones have been known to look great in yellows, oranges, browns, yellow-greens, ivories, and warm reds ( reds with more orange or orange brown in them ). If you’re a neutral like me, you can pull both types of color schemes off depending on the rest of your makeup look, what season you’re in, what you’re wearing and so on.
