First I want to share some poetry:

Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

Skincare is a must,

This you should trust.

Okay seriously, who doesn’t think of this poem from elementary school when you hear the word ‘rose’? I added a lil skincare twist to it because, why not?

Now moving back to the ever-magnificent rose, probably the most recognized flower in the world, and for good reason. Not only is it exceptionally beautiful and divinely scented; it also has numerous health and skincare benefits. The healing properties of the delicate rose have been known for centuries. This particular flower has been infused into everything from perfumes to lotions and beyond. Even the western world has been aware of the aiding properties of this flower. I will say this; the scent of the rose was slightly stigmatized until a few years ago, as it was associated with being an outdated aroma. All that nonsense now has dissipated and rose is back in the spotlight where it has always belonged.

So why am I, and so many others hyped and fascinated by this plant? Let me breakdown all the reasons below:

According to licensed esthetician, Dana Murray, oils and other elements extracted from roses are some of the best anti-inflammatory and scar diminishing ingredients out there. Redness and itching can be curbed when rose properties are placed on top of the affected area, this is because rose is a natural astringent. All my peeps with acne prone skin, rose extracts are pumped full of vitamin C and E, which are nourishing and moisturizing while combating excess sebum (pimple causing goop).

The best way to benefit from the beautiful rose is by using it in essential oil form, since it is the most concentrated. The best and most renowned essential rose oil comes from Bulgaria. These candy colored pink roses are not only visually stunning, but also have the scent of heavenly angles and endless benefits. Did you know that 5ml of organic essential Bulgarian rose oil can cost upwards of 150 US dollars? This is because it takes 22 pounds (10kg) to produce 5ml. Rose oil is one of the most valuable oils in the world. This is why most people mix rose oil with other carrier oils, for example vitamin E.

For everyone who isn’t inclined to making their own skincare fret no more. A new luxurious product is about to drop in Pakistan – ZAURA 24K ROSÉ, it is being launched exclusively on What exactly is this opulent product? It’s an extravagant beauty oil that is made with organic Bulgarian roses, rosehip oil, vitamin A & E, and 24K gold nanoparticles. Another benefit is that rose petals contain sugars and other fatty acids that moisturize your skin, making it look smoother and softer. When rose petals are distilled it creates the most calming and perfectly scented water. If you place a few drops of rose water into your lotion or cleanser it can help relax your nervous system and the waters antiseptic properties help maintain and restore pH levels.

There is so much a rose has to offer beyond its looks. It’s valued for its array of antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. Keep an eye out for rose infused products. And remember on October 2, 2018 ZAURIA 24K ROSÉ will launch exclusively on Just4Girls.
